Teachers' Commitment

We fully commit to KIPP BELIEVE College Prep in the following ways:

  • We will arrive at Believe every school day by 7:15 A.M. and remain until 5:15 P.M.
  • We will come to Believe on required Saturdays at 9:05 A.M. and remain until 1:05 P.M.
  • We will always teach in the best way we know how, and we will do whatever it takes for our students to learn.
  • We will become even stronger teachers every day, constantly reflecting on what we do in and out of the classroom.
  • We will always make ourselves available to students, parents, and any concerns they might have.
  • We will always protect the safety, interests, and rights of all individuals in the classroom.
  • We believe that the success of the school hinges on what we do. We will carry this school on our shoulders and be role models to all who see us.
Failure to adhere to these commitments can lead to our removal from KIPP Believe.

Parents’ / Guardians’ Commitment

We fully commit to KIPP Believe College Prep in the following ways

  • We will ensure our child arrives at Believe every school day by 7:25 A.M. and remains until 5:00 P.M. (3:30 P.M. on Fridays, 2:30 P.M. for summer school).
  • We will ensure our child attends Believe on required Saturdays from 9:15 A.M. until 1:05 P.M.
  • We will ensure that our child attends Believe summer school.
  • We will always help our child in the best way we know how, and we will do whatever it takes for him/her to learn.
  • We will check our child’s homework every night, let him/her call the teacher if there is a problem with the homework, and be involved with what he/she is learning.
  • We will always make ourselves available to our children, the school, and any concerns they might have. This includes calling as soon as possible if our child will be late or absent, and reading all papers the school sends home. If we are needed at the school, we will find a way to come in.
  • We will allow our child to go on Believe field trips.
  • We will make sure our child follows the Believe dress code.
  • We understand that our child must follow Believe rules so as to protect the safety, interests, and rights of all individuals in the classroom. We, not the school, are responsible for the behavior and actions of our child.
  • We believe that the success of the school hinges on what we do. We will carry this school on our shoulders and be role models to all who see us.
Failure to adhere to these commitments can cause my child to lose various Believe privileges, spend time on the bench, and can lead to my child returning to his/her home school.

Student’s Commitment

The mission of KIPP BELIEVE is to empower students with the character, knowledge, and leadership skills necessary to graduate from college and help change the world.

I fully commit to KIPP Believe College Prep in the following ways:

  • I will arrive at Believe every school day by 7:25 A.M. and remain until 5:00 P.M. (3:30 P.M. on Fridays, 2:30 P.M. for summer school).
  • I will come to Believe on required Saturdays at 9:15 A.M. and remain until 1:05 P.M.
  • I will attend Believe summer school.
  • I will always work, think, and behave in the best way I know how, and I will do whatever it takes for me and my fellow students to learn. This means that I will complete all my homework every night, call my teachers if I have a problem with the homework, and I will raise my hand and ask questions in class if I do not understand something.
  • I will always make myself available to parents, teachers, and any concerns they might have. If I make a mistake, this means I will tell the truth to my teachers and accept responsibility for my actions.
  • I will always behave so as to protect the safety, interests, and rights of all individuals in the classroom. This means that I will listen to all my Believe teammates and give everyone my respect. I am responsible for my own behavior.
  • I will follow the Believe dress code.
  • I believe that the success of the school hinges on what I do. I will carry this school on my shoulders and be a role model to all who see me.
  • I will be the change I wish to see in the world.
Failure to adhere to these commitments can cause me to lose various Believe privileges, spend time on the bench, and can lead to me returning to my home school

We Believe ...

We believe that the greatest of journeys begins with a single step, and we have taken that step today. If we want to see a better world, and a better New Orleans, then it is up to us to make a better world, and a better New Orleans. This journey will take hard work. We will work hard. This journey will take all of us working together. We will be one team. We believe we can achieve anything we put our minds to. We can, and will, be the change we want to see in the world. We Believe.
